NeoPaws Dog Shoes and Dog Boots

October 22nd, 2006

NeoPaws Dog ShoesIf you are walking your dog in area’s where there is a chance of him/her hurting his feet, you have probably considered dog shoes. People get shoes for their dogs for various reasons, but most use them for things like avoiding stepping on broken glass or other sharp materials on the ground, hot asphalt, very cold ground or ice, tracking mud into the house, and to avoid allergens that cause your dogs feet to get irritated and swell. The shoes can also add comfort for a dog with hip dysplasia while walking or running.

NeoPaws has a number of different types of dog shoes and dog boots in many different sizes and many different colors. Note that when you order shoes for your dogs, although dogs feet usually come in fours, these shoes are ordered in pairs.

The shoes are comforable for the dog to wear, easy to put on and stay put while running with velcro straps. If you take your dog for walks in extreme conditions where you might want to be able to protect his feet, NeoPaws probably has a pair of dog shoes or dog boots that will fit your pets need. NeoPaws also offers special leg wraps and a stain gaurd to apply to their products.

Snap Back Leash Adapter

October 15th, 2006

Snap Back Leash AdapterOften when out riding your bike, running or even walking my dog will make a sudden stop to sniff something with intensity like nothing else. If I am not aware of the stop sometimes my dog endures a sudden shock or jolt to his neck from the leash. None of this is intentionaly of course, but from time to time for different reasons it happens, and I really don’t like my dog getting hurt.

This Snap Back Leash Adapter is made from sturdy elastic cording, and attaches between your existing collar and leash to soften the shock against the dog’s neck and reduces the risk of throat and spinal injuries.

The Snap-Back adapter for your dog leash gives more give to the leash and makes it safer for the handler, too. It is especially useful for the mobility impaired, elderly, and children. Snap-Backs make it easier on the handler’s arms and shoulders too, and can especially make a difference for larger dogs on leashes.

Hold Hands with your Dog

October 7th, 2006

Alice Wang Dog Leash HandThis is an interesting leash for your dog.

This could possibly be going for the most comfortable handle for your leash, or is maybe is just all about giving your dog a hand, but what I really think Alice Wang was going for with this leash was the idea of holding hands with your best friend while going for a walk.

And this is just what this leash allows you to do. You might get a few looks in the part, but the idea is still there and I’m sure people will get it.

GPS Pro Dog Collar from Environmental Studies

October 4th, 2006

GPS Dog CollarEnvironment Studies is a company that specializes in making GPS tracking devices for wild animals sucn as bears and wolves, so making a GPS tracking device that can withstand the rigors of a domestic dog was nothing new to them.

The tracking device uses signals from 4 seperate satellites and the GSM mobile network for phones. You can use a PDA or smartphone with the tracking software and call the phone number assigned to your GPS tracking colloar for your dog. When you call it activates the collar and sends a signal immediately to tell you where your dog is within a 15 meter radius.

This is a very rugged, waterproof and proven GPS collar that works great for hunting dogs or any other outdoor activity where you think you may get seperated from your pet.

The collar runs off of batteries and has an average of 2-5 days of battery life. The only downside is you need to be in an area that has GSM coverage or it will not work. Aside from that you can have instant GPS tracking of your dog from your handheld device anywhere in the world.

Electronic Training Leash With Remote

October 1st, 2006

Electronic LeashAlthough a regular training leash is a time tested tool for training your dog, it is sometimes not very reliable to do and can cause unecessary injury to you pet when jerking the leash.

The Electronic Leash has a small remote control device in the hand grip that allows the trainer of the dog to send a warning tone and a mild “static correction” to get the dogs attention when commands do not work. This is a great tool for dogs that are hard of hearing or easily distracted and do not respond to verbal commands.

The electronic leash has 8 levels of “correction” that are adjustable in the hand grip, and the leash comes with a written training guide.

Let you Dog Speak Volumes with the Digital Dog Tag

September 26th, 2006

Digital Dog TagThe Dog-e-Tag digital dog tag is just like it sounds, a digital dog tag for you pet. It’s intended to be used just like a regular dog tag, except that you can put a lot more information on this tag. It allows up to 40 lines of text, and at 10 displaying characters per line, you can enter up to 400 characters. This is not exactly volumes I guess, but it is quite a bit more than a normal metal dog tag.

This information you put on your dogs tag can things like your phone number, address, email, vet and any special instructions. The data is easily scrollable and shows up whenever anyone pushes any of the two buttons.

The digital dog tag is shock resistant and water proof, so your dog can do all the normal things it would do without worrying about damaging it.

To enter the data you must use the two buttons and enter one letter at a time, and when changing batteries if you cannot get the new battery in within 30 seconds, you are going to be entering that data again. The digital Dog-e-tag comes in multiple colors and in multiple languages including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Aside from the slow data entry process this is a good solution to provide detailed information about your pet should you get lost and your pet can’t find you.  ;-)

Portable Water Bowl

September 23rd, 2006

Portable Water BowlWhen you are out and about with your dog, it’s nice to be able to bring some water for him to drink, but bringing a bowl or something for him to drink out of is not always so easy.

I’ve done different things to facilitate giving my dog some of my water without letting him lick the end of my water bottle. Some of these are just pouring some into my hand in a cup shape, folding up his frisbee a little to make a bowl and simply trying to pour it into his mouth, but none of these work realy well.

This Handi Drink Portable Bowl is truely handy when you are out with your dog. It folds up around the water bottle and is easy to carry, and it flips out and makes a nice bowl that is easy for your dog to drink out of and does not waste a lot of water.

The leather leashes are very durable and long lasting. They are well made with high quality stiching and rivits along with quality brass hardware so the leash is always dependable and is going to hold.
